When you are considering travel with a pet.  Here is a few travel tips to remember to ensure you trip is as worthwhile as it can be.

• When you find a pet-friendly hotel make sure to check the fees, review the restriction (if any), etc.
• In case of emergency, locate Veterinary Clinics in the area
• Before traveling abroad check the required vaccinations with your vet    
• With small pets, traveling by train or bus usually makes them nervous.  You can alleviate their nervousness by using a pet-carrier
• When traveling via car, avoid hazardous situations by either getting carriers for your pet or getting special harnesses for dogs and cats.  Of course, when traveling by carrier make sure that the carrier will not be tossed around in the back seat by strapping the carrier with a seatbelt or other similar devise.
• A different alternative would be to talk to the vet about tranquilizers.
